Neighborhood Leaders

Neighborhood Leaders are part of a program started by the GA Family Connection Partnership.  FC-CIS of Athens employs sixteen individuals to serve each of the sixteen elementary school attendance zones to help residents access resources and engage in community building.

Neighborhood Leaders aim to remove barriers to economic self-sufficiency by providing support and resources in five key areas:

  • Food insecurity

  • Employment opportunities

  • Housing access

  • Physical and behavioral health

  • Civic engagement
