Superheroes Summer Camp 2026!
Superheroes is a day camp for child survivors and witnesses of domestic violence. Camp runs each day from 9 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. from July 27-July 31. We will discuss coping skills and emotions in the morning, and have an afternoon filled with fun activities.

Grown Up Spelling Bee
Join Family Connection–Communities In Schools of Athens for the Grown Up Spelling Bee on September 11, 2026, an evening of competition, community connection, and plenty of laughs.
Watch teams from local businesses, community organizations, and groups of friends take the stage to put their spelling skills to the test in pursuit of bragging rights and championship glory. Along the way, teams will also compete to earn the Fan Favorite title through summer-long fundraising efforts that support our work.
More than just a spelling competition, this event helps connect students, families, and residents with the relationships and resources they need to thrive. We are grateful for community support and especially Presenting Sponsor, First American Bank & Trust!

What we’ll be doing:
Identifying & processing feelings toward other teens and young adults
Understanding the challenges in today's society as teens and young adults
Building trust and emotional safety in group settings
Free Youth Violence Prevention Training
Submitted by Northeast Health District (DPH)
Free training on shared risk and protective factors for multiple forms of youth violence, strategies for violence prevention, holding hard conversations with youths, and self-care for professionals.
